Whispering Water: Spilled Recordings

V–A–C Sreda online magazine in collaboration with the audio platform Tolk concludes its three-month podcast series on water and its significance in culture, art and folklore.

In the final episode, we will listen to various representations of the material fluidity of water in sound art. Sound artist Sergei Skurtu has turned to his personal library of field recordings to hear the voice of water in the mysterious sounds of a rainy street, a sea surf, and ocean depths. All recordings were made with the use of acoustic microphones and hydrophones.

For full submersion, we recommend using headphones.
