Brick Museum: Between Wall and Art

V–A–C Sreda online magazine presents a new three-month podcast series dedicated to extraordinary museums in Russia, in collaboration with the Zapovednik project.

In this first episode, we discuss the role of bricks in culture and art. What place do bricks occupy in contemporary artistic production? How is the Brick Museum in Rostov-on-Don organised? How can bricks be considered to have changed the way humankind lives?

These and other questions are covered by Maxim Shibaev, an editor at V–A–C Sreda, Boris Talpa, a researcher, collector, and founder of the Brick Library Museum, and Grigory Sharov, an artist from the city of Bratsk and founder of the One for All street-art festical .
