Museum of Death: Dance of Life

V–A–C Sreda online magazine continues its three-month series of podcasts dedicated to unusual museums in Russia, in collaboration with the “Zapovednik” project.

In this issue, we talk about death. How is the Museum of World Funerary Culture in Novosibirsk organised? What are “death cafés” and “death studies”? Is digital immortality possible? And how is all of this related to rock music?

These and other questions are discussed by Maxim Shibaev, an editor at V–A–C Sreda, Tatyana Yakushina, director of the Museum of World Funerary Culture, Oksana Moroz, a candidate of science in cultural studies and co-author of the “tolkom” project, and Yanina Rapatskaya, a researcher of Russian black metal.
