Yury Grigoryan: From Barn to House of Culture

V–A–C Sreda online magazine presents the second podcast in a special series, dedicated to avant–garde art and timed to coincide with the Square and Space. From Malevich to GES-2 exhibition, which will open at GES-2 House of Culture on June 20.

In this issue, we talk with the architect and teacher Yury Grigoryan. Barn, a work created by Grigoryan in collaboration with Pavel Ivanchikov, Yuri Kuznetsov, Ilya Kuleshov, Alexandra Pavlova, and Vasily Shchetinin (Meganom architectural bureau) will be exhibited at GES-2 as part of the Space of Life and Art section of Square and Space

Where does the boundary between architecture and contemporary art lie? Is it necessary to build new buildings? What do architects dream of, and is it possible to create an art object using SMS instructions?
